February 13, 2012

Today I started off by finish the quest for Mindy and the Headmaster in Colossus Boulevard. I was defeated by both Baron Rotunda and Prince Gobblestone once. Then I was able to beat them (barely) on my second try. Hahaha! When I told the Headmaster of what had occurred and how the Gobbler King had been chased out with his people due to witches in their old land he was very sad and decided to let them stay.

Then he sent me to defeat this evil dead guy who had stolen some books, or at least we thought he had.

It ended up that he only had a key and a journal. But to our surprise it led us to a unthinkable place! I had a friend take some pictures when I went to explore it.

Brr, that water was cold!

What is this? A door? Why is there a skull on it?

To my surprise... through the door I found the death teacher and the death school. And he hadn't even noticed! I went and told the Headmaster and he was surprised too. 

He then proceeded to tell me of what he had read in the journal while I was gone. Not only was Malistaire in a whole new world... but he was after a book. And guess who gets to stop him? Yep, me as always. Cool thing is I got the Spiral keys to both Wizard City and Krokotopia. Bartleby is supposed to tell me how they work the next time I stop by there.

Also I'm really excited because I head from Farley that there is another gardener mole in this Krokotopia place that has some even better spells that I can get. Yay!

I will do a little check to see if anyone else needs my help in Wizard City though before I start running off to other worlds. A girl by the death school was asking for help... and I heard a boy in the Library was in need of some help for a newspaper also. Once those are all done it's off to Krokotopia I go!

So I was going around finishing the side quests in Firecat Alley today. The last thing I had to do was fight Wormguts. So I head on in as a level 11 Pyromancer... and come out level 12! =D

With level 12 came a new school only spell. LINK!
* Warning! Laughing may occur beyond this point. *

Went and whooped the fire elf... 

Okay... how?

Ah... hopefully I'll still be in one piece -_-

More running? (Why hasn't KI added a walking option?)

After defeating the Kraken, Talon received the Three Street Savior badge.

TADA!

Also with level 12 I can add Talon into my massive gardening activities.
Then to that is added the opportunity of going to Crab Alley. Sohomer gave him a water breathing potion and pointed out where the best place to jump in was. Talon drank the potion and jumped into the river.

* gurgle* Umm, are -- you sure -- that potion -- was good? *gurgle*

*gurgle* blub blub blub

Luckily  a crab who called himself Herman was able to save me. *shakes water out of hair*

The Journal of Talon Deatheyes #1

Hi everyone!

So tonight I was able to get Talon to level 10. "What's so significant about this?" you might ask.

It means (read the captions):

Sunbird = Faster killing of stronger Mobs

Level 10 = Beginning of power pip %! Yes! Faster casting fire spells!

So yeah. Talon is in Cyclops Lane. He's sort of skipping most of the side quests. Just picks them up and does them if they happen to be along the way with the story line. :)

He's died about 5 times now. 3 of which are from Alicane Swiftarrow -_- grr

Next time I get on him I will be fighting General Achilles. With these level 10 improvements it should go very smoothly and fast. :)

The Talon Deatheyes Project

So after seeing both The Friendly Necromancer (Angus Unicornpants) and Ditto Monster(???? can't remember! :o ) start up one of these starter only characters I thought, "Hey why not try?" So here it is!

I used Random.org to choose the schools, made a list of the seven schools and then used the magic number (#1) 3 twice to choose his schools.
I then used the magic number (#2) 7 to choose his name when I was creating him. So here he is!

Orange for Fire and Black trim for secondary Death

Pressed the RANDOM button 7 times and got his name.

So here he is.

Talon Deatheyes, Pyromancer/Necromancer.

If you don't already know how this works, here are the "rules" (?)
- Only wear the starter robes, starter wand, and starter deck
- Little or no outside help

I'll try to do periodic updates on how he is doing. Probably every 10 levels or so, and probably when he reaches a new world or hard boss (like at the end of worlds).
